About

Seasons of Self

Seasons of Self is a shame-informed, spiritually curious, holistic therapy practice for self-aware, burnt-out humans with complex stories. If you're done with quick fixes and want deep, nervous-system-safe change in a space that feels like a soft landing (not a sterile clinic), you're in the right room.

Who and how I help in therapy

For all seasons of yourself

Hi, I'm Tamara! I'm a Registered Psychotherapist and Breathwork Practitioner based in the Wasaga Beach area, working with folks across Ontario both in person and virtually.

I built Seasons of Self as the practice I always wished existed. One that feels less like a clinical intake and more like being handed a cup of tea, a soft blanket, and permission to actually breathe. If you've been quietly running on empty for a long time, I'm really glad you found your way here.

If you’re ready for steadier, softer support, I’d love to connect with you

Why Choose

A Soft Place to Land

Therapy shouldn't feel like another performance. Here, you don't have to have your life together, use the right words, or arrive as your best self. You just have to arrive.

Real Healing, No Bypassing

We're not going to skip the hard stuff with a positive affirmation and a smile. We meet what's actually underneath, gently, at the pace your nervous system can hold.

From Survival to Freedom

The goal isn't to help you cope harder. It's to help you finally exhale, live in your body, and build a life that feels like yours again.

A Therapist Who Feels Human

You'll never wonder if I'm judging you. I bring my full self into the room. Real, warm, sometimes a little sweary, always in it with you.

Why I do this work

Seasons of Self Therapy exists to be a soft landing for people with complex stories. The over-functioners. The highly attuned. The ones who've been the strong one for so long they forgot they're allowed to be held. The folks who've done the therapy, read the books, taken the trainings, and still feel a quiet ache that "having it together" didn't fix.

Here, every version of you is welcome. The you that's healing, the you that's tired, the you that's evolving. Every season, all of you.

What's On Your Mind Today?

Use the form to share what you're working on, or just say "I don't know where to start." Both are welcome. I'll get back to you within 24 hours (usually much sooner). No pressure. Just an honest conversation.

Frequenty Asked Questions

Who is Seasons of Self for?

Seasons of Self is for high-functioning humans who are quietly running on empty. The over-functioners. The over-givers. First responders, nurses, teachers, healers, helpers, people-pleasers. Queer, questioning, and spiritually curious folks. Anyone who's ready to look underneath the surface, whether this is your first time in therapy or your fifteenth. If you've been the strong one for too long, this space was built for you.

What can I expect from our sessions?

Sessions are 60 minutes and can be in person (Wasaga Beach area) or virtual (anywhere in Ontario). We move at the pace your nervous system can hold. No rushing, no pushing. Some sessions we talk. Some we breathe. Some we sit quietly and let things come up. What we won't do is bypass. This isn't quick-fix therapy. It's real, gentle, deep work.

How long does it take to see results?

Honestly, it depends on you. Most clients feel some kind of shift within the first few sessions, even if it's just feeling less alone in what they're carrying. Deeper changes (the kind that hold) usually unfold over a few months. This isn't a 6-session program, it's a relationship. I'll always be honest with you about what I'm seeing, and you get to decide the pace.

What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a professional relationship where we work together to help you understand yourself more deeply, heal what's ready to be healed, and build a life that actually feels like yours. In Ontario, Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Sessions may be covered by extended health benefits, check with your provider. Receipts are provided.

How do I know if it is the right fit?

Book a free 15-minute consult. We chat, you get a feel for me, I get a feel for what you're working with, and either of us can say "not the right fit" without any weirdness. I'd rather refer you to someone who's a better match than pretend to be one. Fit matters more than credentials.
